The first meeting went very well. We went ahead and volunteered others to do certain jobs. Why? Because that's what committees do.
Dinner: Beth - responsible for gathering names of interested people to go to Humble Pie, and for making reservations if necessary.
Music: Aly - find appropriate DJ's
Maura - loan us some music
Food: Will - makin little sandwiches w/o crusts
Beth and Aly - purchase additional foods
Drink: Chris - punchmaster
Aly: Keg master
Decorations: Chris - Balloonist
Liza - Lounge Specialist
Photo Booth: Beth - design backdrop and notify photographers of their job
Edutainment Personnel Director: Aly - notify people of their tasks and inform them that they HAVE to do it

Because the element of surprise is paramount, I have not listed the specifics here. We have a number of ideas generated from the last Prom Committee meeting.Information will be disemminated to appropriate parties on a "Need to Know Basis."Beth has been appointed Prom Committee Dictator. Anyone who has a problem with that can speak to her directly. There have been a lot of rumors that people (like Jeff Williford) think the Prom Committee is a "crock of shit" (paraphrased). Well, let me just say that the Prom Committee is working very hard to make this a magical night. We had a very tearful first meeting due to hurt feelings and misunderstandings. Hopefully, we can avoid that in the future and proceed towards a beautiful and successful Prom 2001.
